At ARC Auto Glass, we get this question a lot. After all, not all RV Coaches are created equal. RVs are custom built coaches, many times with a particular customer in mind. With that being said, it safe to say that all manufactures have different practices and methods on building a new Coach. At ARC Auto Glass we specialize in RV glass Replacement and know the ins and outs and the do's and don'ts of each custom Motor Home vehicle. We service may coaches with structural flaws that cause the Windshields to fall out. Over time we have devised a technique that has proven to keep the windows from dislodging again and not stress cracking when "Over-Jacked”, driven off a parking pads or uneven road conditions.
For "Fogged Units" there is no quick Fix. There are companies that claim to wash and clean the interior of the glass unit by spraying a solution in between the Glass to make it look like new but actually far from it. Once a Glass Unit seal has broken it is broken forever. This fix is very temporary because the Window seal is going to continue to deteriorate. At best, the first sight of moisture in Window is when to act. Do not let this go on for any length of time because this will permanently etch the glass with corrosion. As soon as possible call to make an appointment to get a estimate on how much to have the Glass Units broke down, cleaned and resealed.
If it is too late for this then you will need new windows built. We can rebuild your Glass Units to better specs than the original manufacturer.
